The original 1980 kitchen: five upper cabinets, two lower cabinets, four narrow drawers and very little counter space.
And cutting to the final scene - the new 2008 kitchen. Seven drawers, eight upper cabinets, eight lower cabinets, a pantry closet and a lot more counter space.

The beginning of Phase 2: Remove the upper cabinets and prepare for painting. Note the hole in the wall over the stove. The builder made a huge hole for the wiring for the old range hood. Nice.
Painting complete. Ready for the new upper cabinets.
Phase 2 complete. New upper cabinets mounted (exect for the one on the right of the window - that's part of Phase 3). Phase 3 will be started after I return from China.
